Thumbs Down: Trinity Maids

Earlier this year, I decided to get my very first Groupon. It was for Trinity Maids and the deal seemed pretty good. After moving into the new hours, I attempted to schedule a cleaning on March 13 and was informed (by voice mail) that Groupon customers had about a 4-5 week wait "due to the popularity of the Groupon." I went to the website and sent in my request to be contacted to schedule my appointment - 4-5 weeks in advance.

Today, May 6, I've not had any contact from Trinity Maids. So today, I sent them the following message through their website:

I sent a request nearly 8 weeks ago to have someone contact me to set up an appointment and I've never heard back. I have a Groupon (as was stated at the time I made my request to schedule a cleaning). As Trinity Maids is not professional enough to return an inquiry, I believe your company is unreliable and not a company that I need to support. I will be asking for a full refund from Groupon and advising them of my bad experience with your company.

I've now got to go to Groupon and get a refund and then leave my feedback. I'm disappointed that such a great deal turned into a major flop. Thumbs down for Trinity Maids.

We are home!

Well it took a few months to get done, but we are now officially in our new home. We are still unpacking the boxes, and finding places for everything. The dogs are still adjusting, and occassionally have that "when we will go home" look in their eyes, but they continue to settle in. We are excited, and we will be posting more pictures soon of the house - post closing :-)

Finish Line in Sight

We are on the home stretch. Our official walk-through (the QA Walk) is scheduled for next Friday, and then we go to town on getting the blue tape around the property for fixes. It's a quirky little thing, but I have to say it's one of those that I enjoy with building a house. The appliances have been installed and we are impressed. They are all shiny :-)

We recently got our home inspection done, and not only did we get some great insight into the house itself, but our inspector - Deb - provided us with a load of ideas and suggestions for regular maintenance on the house for the coming years. Be sure to check out 20/20 Home Inspection on the web and on Facebook!

Our goal will be to be in the new home around mid-March.
